The organisers of the Government Action Exhibition (SAGO) have chosen to honour stakeholders of the transport sector on the occasion of the 9th edition of this event. The Ministry entrusted to my responsibility

by the Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA, has opted to take part in this important forum for the promotion of government action in synergy with all the structures placed under its supervision. From 22 to 25 September 2020, all stakeholders of the four transport and meteorology sub-sectors will exhibit their greatest assets and achievements at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex.

Considering the fact that, transport is the backbone of all economies, this sector is the corner stone of the national economy and the driving force behind the President of the Republic’s major development projects, for an emergent Cameroon by2035. Transport also eases access to the population of essential social services (education, health, etc.). We seize this opportunity to enlighten Cameroonians on the actions carried out and reforms undertaken within the scope of the Major Accomplishments

policy of the President of the Republic in the four transport subsectors, namely road, maritime, railway, air and meteorology. The aim is to get close to users in order to show them that, they are at the centre of our activities. The idea is to raise their awareness on the implementation of

this policy advocated by the Head of State in the transport and meteorology sector. Furthermore, we will provide answers to the various questions users may have in during a key note address on the theme: “Structural Transformations and Modernisation Prospects in the Transport and Meteorology Sector. »

It is within this backdrop that, we are proposing to you, this edition of our newsletter “Special SAGO” in which you will find my full presentation in French and English during this conference. This special edition will also

showcase the various structures placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport in their brightest colours. Please take pleasure in visiting the stands of all stakeholders of the transport sector, present your various concerns to them and above all, give your suggestions to optimize our service.
